Finally bought my truck

Finally bought a new RAM 1500 Eco-Diesel this weekend!!! I have been looking since February. What I wanted was simply not available in my market. Mainly my checklist was for towing 65% of the time. Diesel, 3.92 Diff. Anti-slip, etc. but there is nothing in this market. They cater to a different clientele. So I expanded the search to a 1,000-mile radius and figured I’d fly in. But still none that completely met my check list, so I got the least I could get with the most that I want. (I should have ordered, I know, but I did not anticipate this chip shortage and I need it this summer). The big trade off in the end was tow mirrors vs anti slip. Mirrors were a much cheaper mod, by a lot, right? The wife is now telling me I need to pick a bunch of accessories. Uh, okay, if you insist. Can you spell C-U-S-T-O-M-I-Z-E?

LOL, I think you spelled it just fine yourself !! Don't feel bad about not ordering. I didn't order mine and I'm very happy with the truck.

Congratulations on the truck. I found mine in Illinois and they delivered to Alabama. The only thing it had that I did not want was tow mirrors so I am swapping them out this week. I would have preferred a 4x2, 12” screen and 360 view but I can maybe add the screen and cameras later on if I really want.

I wanted a 4x2 too, because I use it for Towing not off-roading, but couldn’t find it. 4x4 felt like I was paying for an expensive set of chains. However, I live in Central CA and found the truck in Carson City NV. Instead of getting it delivered I thought a road trip through Lake Tahoe and back through the Kit Carson Pass and the Sierras sounded delightful. Then, we got snow on the Pass traveling back Saturday night and the 4x4 Auto got its first push and my wife marveled at my brilliance for opting for the upgrade. Please let me know how the tow mirrors install works out and where you bought them. Will you have to get them flashed at the dealer?
