It’s the clear tape used on door edges.good idea is scratch guard like a PPF
I had the factory flares and replaced with the bushwackers with no problems. If I have the OEM Limited ones, can I remove them and install th bushwacker with no issues?
How long did it take you to install them? I installed my own on my '18 GMC without much trouble and figured I could manage getting this set on too. Also, are aftermarket mudguards possible with the flares installed? Thanks for the info!I had the factory flares and replaced with the bushwackers with no problems.
Basically I had to install each one twice because I used the scratch guard under them it took a day. If installing without the scratch guard maybe 3 to 4 hours. I cannot find any mudguards that are compatible but I’ve found that I really don’t need them the flares are wide. I’m running 20x12 rims and the tires do not stick out past the flares. If your handy you could custom make some. I hope that helps, thanks for the compliment on my truck. How long did it take you to install them? Love mine I replaced the factory flares with the bushwhacked pocket flares. I used clear scratch guard under the rubber to keep them from scratching the paint. Install the flare trace edge with masking tape remove flare follow the masking tape with scratch guard reinstall the flare.
Do your flares have a small gap between the flare and the metal panel? I have small gaps on the front ones behind the wheel where they wrap under the fender and in the rear in front of the tire. I refit these like 3 times and they are snug as hell and have no play, except for the gaps at the bottom.Love mine I replaced the factory flares with the bushwhacked pocket flares.
