Picked up a 2021 with factory running boards already installed. To me they seem too high to where they are awkward. 2-3" drop would be ideal. Is there such a thing as a lowering bracket? Or do I have to go to aftermarket ones?

Is your truck lifted? I have a ‘22 1500 with air ride and the off road package ( truck sits 1” higher ) and I find them to be a good height.
Amp did have extended ones that would do what you want (if they still make them), but you will lose the integration with the radio that the factory boards have.

I think he means just the regular running boards. @BaumgGW do you have a pic? Are they the MOPAR ones for a crew cab? I have Tyger Star Armor that are in decent shape, and I've been looking to find something more tucked up into the truck.

I have the fixed factory ones for a quad cab. It has the off road package, so I does sit higher. But no aftermarket lift. Eventually when the weather gets nicer I'll post actual pictures.

Oh my bad, I don’t know why, I was thinking you had the power boards. Yes, the tube steps are high as I had them on previous 1500s. Good luck with your search. I will say that power boards are so much more useful, but they do come with a price!

The factory power boards are expensive, but I will never have anything else. The come down probably 2 or 3 inches lower, and have a wider step. My 5'4" girlfriend gets in easily, and I just had a left knee replacement, and don't think I would have been able to get in for at least a month longer, after surgery, with the bolt on boards.
