Love my New (one month old) 2024 Limited Longhorn Southfork! After a couple of weeks I started hearing a slight rattle from passenger floor area, and after another week it started rattling loud enough that I drove it up on ramps and started inspecting the underneath area. When I started tapping the heat shields I found the rattle coming from a bracket that was laying on top of the heat shields. Pulled it out and found a part number that googles as:

Transmission Mount Bracket - Mopar (68280951AD)

I cannot found where this bracket goes by feeling around on top of the transmission.
I am a mechanic and would like to know more about this bracket before I take it to a dealer.
Any help would be appreciated.

first pic is bracket wedged in heat shield.
second pic is bracket out on floor.
third pic is of part number

If you are a mechanic you should know better then to ask the internet...

It's possible you have 2 and the second one got stuck during production and they just left it.
Using an endoscope might be the best bet to take a look up top or look at the service manual for the transmission mount.

Thanks for the link. This parts breakdown shows that it should go on the bottom near the tail shaft. I will check this out later in the week. Hopefully this was a spare they left laying on top since it was found up on top wedged in the heat shields.
