exhaust tip powder coating

i'm going to take the exhaust tips to a local show to get them powder coated. i plan on taking them off the truck then driving the truck to the shop.

i really don't think there will be an issue with me driving with the tips off for about 50 miles miles.

can anyone think of a reason not to?
