Is there any way to tell if a PCM is compatible with your truck?
I have an HP Tuners MPVI3 coming for my birthday/xmas (my wife is awesome).
I ordered a replacement PCM off ebay which said it was for a 2020 RAM 1500 5.7. Technically mine is a 2021 but from what I’ve read they should be compatible.
The part number for the ebay PCM is P68395718AD. The listing stated it was tested compatible with P68467909, which is the PCM part number for a 20 1500.
I noticed in one of the pictures that the VIN was printed on the PCM so I did a check on it. When I run the VIN through the Mopar Decoder it says it is from a 2019 Canadian Police Charger AWD. It had a 5.7L V8 but only had the 5sp tranny instead of the 8sp our trucks have.
Anyone know if this PCM work with a 2021 4WD 1500?
Is there some place to cross reference PCMs from differing platforms/models?
Thanks,
John
