Hello everyone, like the title says, I’m going to be in the market soon for a new truck, and the 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie seems to be catching my attention. Just have a few questions and concerns.

After adding 4x4, Technology Package, Laramie Level 2, and Off Road Package. It seems the MSRP jumps to $75K
I’m aware there are deals to be had out there, but after reading through these forums it seems like plenty of people are having powertrain & tech issues.

Can we expect any updates or a better quality offering for 2026 (Under the new CEO)?
It would be nice to purchase a car that doesn’t have a ton of bugs.

I would be prepared for bugs tbh. It used to be the new model years always had something…now it seems to be industry standard across the board to just have issues with all models at all times. Warranties are more important than ever.

If I were in your shoes id be considering a 2500. The same stuff but just better IMO, and more capable.

I ordered a loaded 2025 Laramie ($80k MSRP) from Mark Dodge and got $15k off with all discounts and incentives. My MPG is not great, but I do have 33.5” tires and a camper shell. I have no other complaints and the handling and acceleration are amazing.

You’ll hear complaints and issues on forums. It is the number 1 reason people join, post, and discuss.

What you won’t hear, is all the owners that are trouble free…something to consider.
Would I personally buy a first model/first engine year for a vehicle? No.
Yes there are bugs… two things, most appear to be software related, but with something this new…those updates could take time.
I wish I would’ve known about Mark Dodge when I bought mine last year. While i have a great relationship my dealer… even getting an employee discount, I know I could’ve saved more with Mark Dodge.

Use the prices available from the big volume discount dealers (names on the price paid thread) to negotiate with your closer dealers. Some report good luck getting to within $500 of the discounters yet staying local.

25’s are getting TSB’s and techs are getting more information on the issues.
As long as you order(vs buy on the lot), each month it takes allows for more issues to be worked out.

The thing about waiting is you might get a lower MSRP but you wont have a truck. Your call.
