So you have a check engine light, and don't post the actual code. Dealer previously updated the software for initial light(I'm assuming). You don't mention any issues with how the truck was running, and are disappointed with a first year new change truck that still has bugs.Just got a new 2025 bighorn engine light came on at 160 miles they said it was a software update know it came back again at 720 . Really disappointed
Have you not started the lemon law process yet? If not, why not?Yup, my truck has been in the dealer 4 different times for CEL already. It’s over 60 days now combined it’s sat at the dealer. Getting very frustrated.
Reach out to RAM and ask for reimbursement for payments made while vehicle has been at the dealer and not in your possession. Unless you are planning on doing lemon law, then you will get that back anyways.I just made my 4th payment yesterday. I've managed to get roughly 600 miles out of my truck myself, the rest of the roughly 1000 miles it has on it were put on it by the dealer service department trying to diagnose the cause of the endless misfires and misfire codes. That's slightly over $6.47 per mile I've driven, not counting actual normal driving expenses like fuel and such. Upside: Dealer has had the truck so much I've only had to put fuel in it one time. Yay!
Same truck same thing happened to me at 700 miles and the truck stalled several times they reprogrammed the powertrain control module and I just picked it up. We will see.Just got a new 2025 bighorn engine light came on at 160 miles they said it was a software update know it came back again at 720 . Really disappointed
I have a 25 RAM 1500 Limited 4 x 4 with the HO engine. 3900 miles. Check engine light came on last week, went to dealer, they told me it has almost two pages of codes.. truck drives fine, no issues that I can tell drivability-wise. Even has a code for the tailgate but no issues with that. Odometer flashes no and then, but not constantly. I'm bummed out as I just won my lemon law suit against GM for a 24 GMC Sierra Denali, had ten check engine lights with that one, first appeared at 103 miles. I hope I don't have to do this all over again!Based on my experience, and that of many others on here, prepare for lots more disappointment.
Drove it for 50 miles today. Broke down Same issue number two.Same truck same thing happened to me at 700 miles and the truck stalled several times they reprogrammed the powertrain control module and I just picked it up. We will see.
Oh no, we're waaay past that point. I lawyered up. I tried to do it the easy way by requesting a buyback and got no response for long enough that I gave up trying to do it the easy way. After I hired a law firm I finally heard from them, declining the buyback of course. We will now do things the expensive (for ram) way because they will not allow the easy way.Reach out to RAM and ask for reimbursement for payments made while vehicle has been at the dealer and not in your possession. Unless you are planning on doing lemon law, then you will get that back anyways.
Currently based on build date and VIN .If your truck VIN is approved for the tech it will upload them there is 3 flash for powertrain.Depending on the internet network speed at the dealership it can take awhileJust got a new 2025 bighorn engine light came on at 160 miles they said it was a software update know it came back again at 720 .
