I see on window stickers for 2020 Rams "engine calibration flash $1495, what is this???

I've noticed this also. Wondering if I need to ask for a PCM flash from dealer. Just had my truck in last week for it's 2nd oil change and nothing was mentioned.

I went to my dealers website and looked at the Morronies (window stickers) of the 2020 Rams currently in their stock and did not see that listed. However, the 5.7VVT engine is listed at $1495. On the window stickers you're seeing, is there also another charge of $1495 for the engine?

I'm suspicious, for a reason I can't fathom an explanation, that the $1495 you are seeing as 'engine calibration flash' is really the 5.7 motor option.

Best regards,
Dusty

5.7l v-8 non-eTorque is 1495.
“engine flash” is just an artifact from the ordering system - there’s nothing really there, no new feature, no cost. It’s listed on the build sheet, and somebody at FCA forgot to code it so it doesn’t appear on the Monroney...
