Hello,
I'm looking for some help and wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue or has any insights. I have a 2021 Ram 1500 TRX with 135,000 miles, and it's been upgraded with a 3.0 Whipple, HHP Heads, Comp Cam 12-210 High Energy, upper and lower pulleys, headers, a tune, E85, a Snow Kit, and a Southern Hot Rod War Viking Transmission—these are the key components.
Now, to the problem: recently, my battery light came on, indicating a charging voltage of 12.9 to 13.2 amps. This doesn’t happen immediately but rather after driving a few miles. Normally, the truck charges at about 14.0-14.1 volts. I’ve replaced both the battery and the alternator, but the issue persists. I took it to the shop, where they replaced the ECU, and the charging amps are now showing 13.2-13.4. We’ve checked for draws, wiring, grounds, and all the usual suspects, but we still haven’t found a solution. If anyone has any ideas or insights, please let me know!
