I removed my radio (8.4") to run something behind it. When I went to plug it back up there are 2 connectors that look identical and fit into each other's connections. I guess I got them switched because now I have all sorts of issues. The radio turns on and has touch, but that's it. The sound doesn't work, volume knobs do nothing, the air controls don't work, none of the auxiliary switches on the bottom light up (nor do they work). I get all sorts of error messages on the dash (no 4WD, no stability, CEL light is on, etc). And, my wipers are wiping and won't stop (they are in the off position).
Did I fry the silver "brain" thing? I've checked many fuses and don't see one that's blown, but maybe (hopefully) I just haven't checked the right one. What is the silver brain called that is behind the radio? And, any thoughts on a fix? I've tried unplugging negative and positive overnight. Nothing.
