HI,
I have a 2019 Rebel with 70,000 miles and the power steering started acting up about a month ago just when I would start it up in the morning. It would take 5 seconds or so to start working but it would be fine for the rest of the day. I tried cleaning the grounds described in the recalls (my truck is not included in the recall) And it would work for a while then fail again. Occasionally it will work again without any tinkering on my part and will continue to work until I shut the truck off and restart then it will not work. If I really need it to work I have found it I squirt the grounds and the connections at the Rack and Pinion assembly with water it will work for a good part of the day. It also works well when it is raining so this clearly seems to be a connection issue. I am out of warranty and not included in any recalls so I would like to resolve this myself. You guys got any ideas?
Thanks
Dan

Sounds like one or more of your electrical connections is corroded. I'd try cleaning all electrical connections for the power steering system, not just the grounds. Then coat them with a good conductive grease.
