Electric air dams and air suspensions

I just purchased a new 24 1500 limited, and just my luck I hit a fox on the way home from the dealers and broke my electric air dam. Everything Im seeing online says that the electric air dams dont go on trucks with air suspensions, yet mine has one? Also apparently you cant just replace certain parts off it but rather only the whole assembly (at $400+). Lastely, does anyone know if there is a way to test the motor on this to verify thats ok?

I believe only some 2019 models with air suspension did not get the active air dam. But that did not apply for anything made after that. Doesn’t mean there can’t be exceptions, but generally that was the case. I would expect your 2024 Limited to have an AAD regardless of which suspension it has.

Thanks, too much of the info online is 2019 oriented so it gets confusing when theres been mid-gen updates.
