Just had a EGR bug shield installed, never had one before, but I think it looks good on the white truck with black grill. My question is about these rubber bumpers they call for. I think they are a incredible eye sore, do you really need them? Anyone install one and leave them off? thanks!Resized_20210509_121811_724.jpegResized_20210509_121721_6244.jpegResized_20210507_163949_5872.jpeg

I installed the mopar brand, although I’ve heard EGR make accessories directly for mopar, but the mopar came with the exact same bumpers. I installed them, but put the end bumpers like 6 inches in, instead of close to the edge. That way they are not as likely to catch your eye. That’s been a couple weeks ago, and haven’t thought about the bumpers since. With that being said, I’m not too sure they are completely necessary, but at least the option is there.

When driving down the road the air pressure can make the plastic bend and contact the hood... the bumpers are to keep the paint from running and also to keep the plastic from flexing so far and fatigue cracking.
