ECU swap

At the crossroads here.
ECU swap this weekend so my question for those who have done it.
Did you keep your factory ECU and pay the core charge?
Did you just say all gas no brakes and exchange the factory unit.

Only company I’ve found that sells an unlocked ecu for our trucks is diablosport, their unlocked ecu plus a tuner is around 1100-1300 I think.
If anyone knows of other places that would be sweet

Ordered and Unlocked one from HP Tuners and shelved the original.

FYI when you disconnet the battery. Your Uconnect may(will) come up stupid (options missing). Don't panic, just give it a few hours to figure everything back out.
