Hey all, I'm new to the forum. Just picked up a 2020 rebel ecodiesel last month with 45k km (28k miles). I'm loving the truck so far. I've been reading through some posts on this forum and others and it seems the recommended oil should be ms-12991 and api sn rated. I think I also saw ck-4 on one site. My manual says ms-10902 and cj-4, which is for the previous gen even though the manual is for 2020. Is this just a typo or were they still using old eco's in 2020?

So you're trusting what you read in forums over what's in your owner's manual? The ecodiesel in 5th gens is the gen III design. 4th gens had the gen II design. I'd go with what the owner's manual says if it was me.

That's the point of my post. Many of the forum posts I've seen for 2020+ have the ms-12991 rating. And have pictures of it from their manual. As far as I understand it the engine remained the same from 2020 and up, so it's weird to see the old specs for my engine.
