Having trouble with my 2021 E-Torgue finally died. I have no power, won't start, emergency brake locked on can't put it into gear. How do I get the emergency brake released? and be able to put it into gear. so I can get it on a tow truck. Thanks

You can't get it released. You need power to do it. That's why I'll never use it unless absolutely necessary. It almost stranded me in another state. You can pull the neutral cord to get it out of gear.

Any other symptoms, can your remote start it? If you can pop the hood to stop it.

Why do you think E-Torque? I just went thru RF hub, that was fun and that will strand you as truck is locked solid, rip cored does not work if RF hub dies you are stuck where it stopped.

ETorque is a generator/motor unit. If it quits, then the 12v battery will eventually die, but to my knowledge, the truck will still start.. If the RF hub or possibly other electronic device dies, so does the truck, and also all electrical devices, regardless of the 12v battery charge.

I don't ever set the brake. I tried to start the truck and it wont start. Brake locked up by itself. I am going to have to have it towed just don't have anyway to release the brake or put the truck in neutral, How do you pull the neutral? Where is it located thanks

the generator was making noise, had it in for service, dealer said it needed to be replaced, waiting for the part said it was ok to drive. obviously they are full of crap

The brake won't lock up on its own. The owners manual tells you how to put it in neutral. You pull the access cover by the headlight switch I think. But it's for sure in the manual.

Ram truck with eTorque will still start even if the Motor Generator Unit (MGU) fails. The eTorque system is a mild hybrid system, and while the MGU assists with starting, it is not the primary starter mechanism. The truck will use the 12-volt battery and a conventional starter motor to initiate the starting process. The MGU primarily supports the start-stop function and assists in regenerative braking.

Sucks this is happening

I wouldn’t say the dealer is necessarily full of crap. Other eTorque members/owners have been sent home to drive it as is until an ET component arrives, but it seems at least the other owners were told the truck is a ticking time bomb.

If the rip cord does not work (behind panel, lower left, below Parking brake actuator) you get to do this with tire rollers, good luck, hope it is easy.
