Happy new Year to everyone!

Does anybody have factual information on cabin safety comparing the DS and DT series?

Doing research, I have come across a post somewhere (cannot find anything anymore), stating that there is a massive difference in accident safety, claiming the DT to be ages better.

Can anybody confirm that?

Thank you!

It only makes sense that a newer vehicles which has to meet more current crash safety standards would be safer.

A quick search of IIHS or NHTSA data show the 5th gen trucks score equal to or higher than the 4th gen in all areas. In particular the higher trims with projector LED score the highest avail 5 star rating.

Yes. I saw that. I am, however, mostly referring to the actual constructional strength. I wonder, if there is a definite difference, such as front crash and roll over scenario.
Safety features such as lots of electronic helpers, as good as they can be, make up for a good deal of the results.

Remember seeing a video on YT boasting the stiffness/strength of the new cab design, sorry no link to it.

Exactly. I happened to see something vague about the DT Ram having the (then) strongest frame structure, but again: nothing to be found again.

Supposedly, the gen4 Ram had one of the weakest frame structures in the industry.
Yet again, hearsay and nothing definite.

The rear end of the frame is weaker then the DS model. Lots of peole in Australia are bending them. The DS has an extra bracing inside the rail, while the DT doesn't have that part.

Only cases I've seen of bent frames (both DS and DT, btw) are when loaded heavy and using suspension helpers like sumo springs or timbrens.
