This post is just an observation and a suggestion. That's all.
My neck has been hurting severely. I thought it was my arthritis, and part of it might be. I could drive about 50 miles before the bumps from uneven roads and just general pavement would make the neck hurt so much that I had to get home and quit. I have been sitting pretty normally in the seat. Fairly straight with a normal to me reach to the steering wheel. Every time I would hit a bump, the neck would pop 6-8 times and it really hurt. For some reason, I moved the seat as far forward as I could and leaned the seat back, back a moderate amount. Now you can believe this or not, but now the neck pops and does NOT hurt. Leaning the seat back just a couple of clicks (manual seat back) did away with ALL the pain from driving. I've had to get used to the position, but now I can enjoy driving.
The real suggestion: If you have either neck or back pain from driving, try leaning the seat back. I realize this may not be the place to post this, but it's so amazing to me that I can not resist. I did query AI about this, and it said there are real reasons for this.
