Anybody else on here on their 4th exterior mirror for temp issues? been in and out of the dealer for high temp readings on the dash that set off a check engine light causing inop of remote start and auto cooling of the seats (even when its freezing out). This issue started about 2 years ago and has been covered under the extended warranty but has just been a nuisance of an issue. temp reads 50 degrees higher than actual exterior temp.

started like this. carwash busted the casing of the mirror so I held off on replacing as it was minor, but then experienced the high temp issue and found that the temp sensor was in the mirror so I just replaced it myself and that seemed to take care off all my issues at that time. 2 months later high temp and check engine light so I brought it in to the dealer. first started off with a simple temp sensor and before I even picked it up from the dealer, they called saying the mirror was then bad and that needed to be replaced. when I told them that the mirror has been replaced 2 months prior, they were nice to document it so I could return the mirror that I had replaced and they it fixed under my warranty. about a month later it was back in for the same issue but this time the drivers door module was bad and was replaced. 3-4 months later, it was back in same issue and the door module had failed and again needed to be replaced. it was noted that they could not communicate with the infotainment as they wanted to update that so that needed to also be replaced. those were replaced but lasted about 4 - 5 months and it was back in again for high temp and check engine light. this time again the mirror was bad again but also the wiring harness between the jam needed to also be replaced. short back order on those but was replaced. so again, 4 months ago the check engine had come back on and temp high again. so I had it back in 3 months ago and had it diagnosed again that it was the mirror but that the mirror internal wiring was the issue and this time the mirror was on back order 60+ days. Have yet to hear if it has been delivered. I am just wondering if anyone else has had this issue or know of any fixes or have I just run into a string of bad parts???? I've had full faith in the 2 techs whos been stuck with this nightmare but part of me feels like parts maybe failing due to some partially shorted wiring in a harness somewhere and maybe someone knows where to look? I've seen the circuit and is a very simple circuit and know times are weird but to have so many failing parts insane.

side note: I have replaced the battery as that went bad within the last year and checked grounds for poor connections and made sure they weren't on any painted surfaces.
