Drawing power from the 48 Volt Etorque system.

Has anyone successfully tapped in to the 48V circuit for the Etorque to draw power from? I've heard the generator/starter puts out around 3KW at 48V. This would make charging a portable power station (Eco Flow, Jackery, etc.) much faster than a 12v system. For instance Eco Flow sells an alternator adapter that essentially is a DC - DC charger for $600. It steps the DC up to 48-53V to fast charge the battery. Could we not do the same with a direct connection to the leads on the 48V battery at the rear cab wall?

Might be a bad idea but go for it and let us know how it turned out.
 
The 48v battery is pretty small and would be depleted pretty fast. So the generator would need to be keeping the 48v battery charged. How long can the generator sustain that? I’d try doing some research on the system before trying something like that. I doubt the system was designed for that sort of use. It would be an expensive system to mess up. Maybe @Jimmy07 has access to that information.

When I had a F150 Hybrid, it was easy to use the Propower onboard system to do what you're suggesting. I have a 2024 Ram with the eTorque, so I'm eager to find the solution you've asked about.
