I didn't see any threads about this topic. Does anyone have a problem with the front door locks catching your skin as the doors automatically lock? It has nabbed my brother probably twenty times over the years, and just got my wife for the second or third time. When I hit 15mph and the doors auto-lock, if the window is down and they have an arm resting on the door, the lock bolt drops down and pulls skin down into the lock hole. They get some pretty good bruises. It happened to me once when I sat in the passenger seat after a fun night at the bar.

I'm only 5'8" and like to sit a little more upright for my back, so the drivers' door lock has never caught me.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Heck yes, had it happen a couple of times. There are threads on here that discuss, that I know bc I posted pics of mine after I replaced the knobs with plugs.

Edit: Found a link to the discussion

Yep, tons of post on here about it you search for them.

I did the same thing. Replace the locks with plugs. Problem solved. I have had it this way for years.

unscrew the lock from the top and insert a plug that fits. DONE.

I left the lock pulls in the rear doors since they don't auto unlock when pulling the door handle from inside, and their at the front of the door panel.

I don't think that really fixed the issue. Just happened to my dad in my brand new 2025 that I picked up last Thursday. Didn't leave a bruise or anything, but he cussed pretty good.
100% agree. The "New Design" looks a whole lot like the first pic in my post.
