I am used to towing a trailer with E load ratings, I am towing about 7k with stock tires. Anyone have problems towing with stock tires?

I don't think that RAM would put on tires that couldn't handle the towing capacity of the truck. I tow about 4500 lbs regularly and would tow up to 10,000 lobs without thinking about it. It isn't like your tires are taking the entire 7,000 lbs - it is being distributed through your trailer and trailer tires. I would think that as long as your tongue weight doesn't make you exceed your payload capacity you should have nothing to worry about.

I plan to tow with my stock tires. I looked at the load index on the tire manufacturer website and each tire is rated over 2500 lbs. You'd have to be way overweight on the axles to hit the tire limits.

I have towed my travel trailer a couple times with my new truck. it has the 20" oem wildpeak all terrains. longest trip so far in this truck DFW to palo duro canyon..350m each way. I put a few more pounds in the rears and I stay right around 69-70. tows great. my 28' trailer is about 6000# when traveling.

No issues here. I have the Bridgestones. Tire pressure is what the door calls for. Ram.jpg
