Put on a Venturous Top on and decided wanted a bed tray. I did not want to spend over $1,000 for one so built this one using plywood, 1x3 wood, 1" wheels and some brackets. Turned out pretty good and is easy to remove and don't have to worry about a track bolted onto the bed. Each wheel supports 22 lbs and I installed 40 of them so payload won't be any issue I believe.

question: what's stopping it from rolling when truck is moving?

question: what's stopping it from rolling when truck is moving?
It was not in the picture; but I have 2 methods,

1) A rope on each side that clips to the tie down in the front and then an eye hook that is screwed into each side of the 1 x 3

2) I used L or corner bracket that attaches to the mounting plate I built to mount my 2 gallon gas tank on each side in the rear, it is 3/4" wide and 3/16" thick and it extends out to cover the top edge of the 1 x 3 edging in which I drilled a hole into allowing me to use a bolt that prevents the tray from moving.

I used a rivet nut tool to install 2 smaller corner brackets at the front so when the tray is slide all the way in they prevent the fron of the tray from coming up

Nice! I have plans for something similar except two separate ones. So when you mounted the wheels did you line them up with the contours of the bed?

@Jupiter58 Yes, that is what I did and in fact I had some left over 1/8" board that I velcroed in the bottom of the contours and including tailgate so it rolls better over the edge of the bed and tailgate. I also thought about splitting it and might at some point in future.

In the pic you see where I doubled up the wheels I figured I would put my heavier items (i.e. - generator) in the center.
