Has anyone figured out how to disable specific aux buttons when the vehicle is NOT in Park? My situation is that I have a powered tonneau cover that's wired into two of the OEM aux switches. I have these switches configured to be momentary for either Opening or Closing the tonneau cover. It works great except for the fact that my wife unknowingly bumped the switch configured to Open the tonneau cover while we were driving down the interstate. Fortunately, nothing blew out, but this could have been a problem. I'd like to prevent these two switches from working when the vehicle is NOT in park. The tonneau cover is looking for a momentary ground connection to either open or close. I was thinking that I could use the #7 pin on the VSIM Gray in-line connector and wire it to the Aux Passthrough Circuit G425 because the documentation I have indicates that Pin #7 is grounded when in Park. HOWEVER, I also read that the Transmission gear positions will not function when the key is in the OFF position. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
