I wanted to mount a dash cam on the mirror housing, so i read up on the removal of the plastic.
While i was struggling with the plastic the whole thing rotated and came off the window.
To reinstall it looks like i push it back into the retainer and rotate a quarter turn. (I hope)
Since I haven't seen any other posts on this style of mount/disassembly i thought i might as well post a picture.
I'm going to attach the Dash Can mount and run some wires before I attempt the reinstall of the mirror back to the window.
