I'm probably going to be ordering a new truck this week. I live in MN. I'm just wondering what the difference between the anti-spin and the e-locker features are and if either/both would be beneficial being in the Tundra?
Sorry, but you should do a search. There’s been a TON of discussion on this topic.I'm probably going to be ordering a new truck this week. I live in MN. Thank you, thats really helpful.Anti-spin rear end automatically locks the rear end when there's a specific difference in rpm between the 2 rear tires signaling a loss of traction to one of them.
The e-locker is an electronically controlled rear end that you lock manually by pressing a button on the dash prior to or anticipating slippage. It will not lock by itself like the anti-spin, only when activated by pressing the button.
Thank you, thats really helpful.
Just an added note... the locker has been found to have anti slip tendencies, many, myself included, are finding the locker is the best of both worlds. It acts like the ASD when off with the added bonus of locking whenever needed.Thank you, thats really helpful.
