Apparently I have ordered the wrong BAKflip tonneau cover for my 2019 RAM 5'7 bed without ram boxes due to an error on the website where I ordered. I received a MX4 cover for a 2017 RAM 1500 (Different part number for a 2019) Does anyone know what the differences in the bed covers might be before I attempt to send this one back??

That makes me feel a little better. I'm going to carefully try to install it today and see what happens.

In case anyone is wondering. The BAKflip MX4 part# BAK-448207, fit on my 2019 RAM 1500 5'7 bed without RAM boxes perfectly with zero problems. According to BAKflip, part #BAK-448207 is suppose to it up to a 2017 model. Part #BAK-448227 is suppose to fit a 2019. Not for sure the differences in the two part numbers but mine fit great.

Pre 2019 trucks had more or less a coke bottle shape, so the bed was wider in the front than the rear. The 2019's are pretty much a rectangle. My Extang solid fold from my 2014 just barely fit on my 2019 with 6'4" bed. It just barely fits on the top surface of the bed., then it narrows as it moves back. Close enough for me, I really didn't want to drop another $900 for the correct one. I have heard of some brands fitting from the older style, some not. It is so close, it probably depends on the manufacturer.
