now you can wash this compartment.

Ya, if i didn't get this from the dealer, i would look for something like that.
I gota through this in, I am looking for the chrome replacement for this stuff, paint for chrome.

I just bought one from amazon for my 2020, I feel a lot better knowing junk isn't going to pile up on the flapper.

I had one of those aluminum green caps with magnet that I got from Amazon for around 10 bucks. I would stick it on the hinge when I opened the fuel door.
