So I have my dads truck with me today going to be undercoating and bed lining it but I need some help figuring out how to deploy this lip. It’s a 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie and I’ve gone through the whole system and there’s nothing to do with it. It has a motor like a running board

It only deploys over a certain speed. You should be able to unbolt it

Just take the brackets off the frame and unplug it on the passenger side.

My guess is there’s a test procedure where that can be extended to check operation. I’ll have to do some digging into that.

I removed mine so it's very accessible now. Pretty useless piece of tech if you ask me. I didn't notice any drop in fuel economy after removing it, and no codes will be thrown. As far as it sticks down, it's just begging to get damaged when you hit some critter that's crossing in front of you.
