I am getting ready to pull the trigger on some Procomp Prodigy 18's another member was running and trying to decide whether to go with the 285/70r18 (33.98) or the 295/70r18 (34.29). I ran the same tire on my 2018 Rebel with Air Suspension in 305/70r17 (33.86) but want just a bit bigger this time for when I level the truck. I have been searching quite a bit and see alot of member running this size for 20s and those running 18s mainly went 35x12.50r18. Has anyone gone with either of these sizes for 18s and regretted it?

I have 20s, but I'm running 275/65s which at 34.1 is pretty close to the same size. Mine are 4 ply g2s so I can't compare ride, but from a looks perspective I think the 34s are absolutely perfect

I’m pathetic lol as I had 295/70 / 285/ 70 & now my current size of 275/70. All three sets were Toyo Open Country AT / II and were swapped within a week of install. These were put on my Rebel wheels and installed on my Laramie non air ride suspension truck. I do have the Mopar 2” lift though. I loved how the 295/70 gave that “ look “ to the vehicle much more so then my current 275/70 does. My problem was they were such heavy tires and it felt as such while driving.

If I were able to get a lighter 18” wheel, I would readily go back to running a 295/70 tire.

Thanks for the feedback! That is what I am struggling with now, I know the 295s would look good, but driving to decide whether the extra weight and loss of performance are worth the weight difference. I may have to do some more looking at 275/70, I have seen a couple factory Rebels that look pretty good at that height. Thank you

Yes I agree that 295/70 will give it “ THAT “ look, but honestly 275/70 is no slouch.

How much lighter? Seems like Methods are lighter but I don't know if it would make a difference. Im actually thinking about doing the same with Rebel wheels on my Laramie. Now u got me thinking.

The photos that I have are on my other computer. I’ll grab that today and post some. It’s been so long till I’ve forgotten I had those lol. These are what I had uninstalled and have for sale. No I’m not suggesting that you buy mine lol, just these are the photos I have on my tablet now.

Hey PorBoy, could you share any pics with the Toyo AT3s on your truck before you removed them? I have the same wheels and was thinking of 275/70r18 in the Toyos. Debating between that and the Nitto RGs 285/70r18. Thanks in advance. -Chris

The tires I have on those wheels are the AT/ II nit the three. Would you still like to see photos ?

Here are two.

Yes, thank you. Just thinking through if they’ll fill up the wheel well enough without a lift or level. I can see why you wanted to go bigger given your lift.

That was when I was in the Mopar lift for 2”s.

I felt it was fine without the lift, but mentally I couldn’t drive a 4x4 that didn’t look that way ha ha ha.

Haha I hear ya. Thanks. Maybe I’ll try 285/70r18s with a level.

You are welcome, which tires are going to look at ?

The only 34” LT tire I know of is the Nitto Ridge Grappler. I wish they made the Toyo AT3s in that 285/70r18 size
