I usually remember these types of dates (I send messages and post stuff on June 6th every year for example) but for whatever reason this year it slipped my mind that it was even coming up. Then, on my way to work, I saw a bald eagle chilling at the edge of a harvested cornfield not too far from the road, looking like a total boss. And I remembered. Only the second time in my life I've ever seen a bald eagle in the wild. Not a coincidence I think.
