I saw one guy put a distressed flag on his, look very natural and made the seam blend in nicely.

Anything else you guys can provide for inspiration?

Hahaha...doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I gets lots of questions about it in parking lots and gas stations. But if you're concerned about it you might have considered getting a dark colored truck instead of white. The wife's black '20 Limited has the MFT, and the gap is hard to see unless you are close to the truck. I know that doesn't help you now though. Maybe you can find a decal with vertical graphics to blend in with the gap. I'm pretty sure I'd have more problems with having decals on my truck than the gap LOL. But I'm interested to see if anyone has come up with a solution for this as well.

Doesn’t concern me that much, but like you I am interested to see if there are solutions out there.

I load about 400 bicycles a year from peoples homes, to a storage unit, back to my truck, and then to a shop for a donation program I help support. I loaded three with the multi function tailgate today, man it’s a game changer,!

Definitely a game changer. Not having to lift things over the tailgate saves my back.

I hear ya on the interest from the general public, last weekend was our first softball tournament weekend of the summer and we had a nice setup in the back of the truck that we were watching from. Both days we had so many people come up and ask about it or say they've been waiting to see one in person, one of my favorite parts of the truck for sure. I don't mind the look of it, I'm not much for stickers or decals so I wouldn't personally put anything on mine, but I like seeing some of the creative solutions for people that do want to cover it up.

When I wrapped my truck I also wondered about a design I could make to incorporate the seam in some way. I don't think there's really any way to hide it completely, so my approach was to actually highlight it and make it a central part of the design (mopar double stripe-like). That could be a good angle to take should you choose to move forward. In the end it doesn't bother me at all and opted to forgo that route. Like the others mentioned it's a huge talking point. Had a guy pull up to me at a red light when I first got the truck and asked me "what happened to my tailgate?" which was funny. I will never buy another truck without this option. No RAM Box though. I like what little bed space I have in my 5'7.

I didn't really want it originally when I was looking to purchase a RAM but I'm glad I did. I have the white midnight package but the line doesn't bother me. I've had quite a few people as well ask about it and I find myself using it almost all the time vs. the normal way to drop the tailgate. It was worth the added $1000 on the sticker price. Although it may have been better with the split down the middle, it's still so much better than the stupid GMC MFT, IMO.

I like that I do not have to push something over the tailgate and chance scraping the bed liner or scraping that something over 20 grit bed liner.

I took off my normie tailgate the other day to do some work and am now jealous of you MFT guys...

greenlawnracing you might wanna try something like this https://www.amazon.com/Cowles-T3808-White-U-Door-Edge/dp/B001EA0LTU or something similar , it wont hide the seam but might make it blend in a little more , plus it will help if you happen to open it next to a concrete wall , dont ask me how i know ;)
I have a story about my truck , i had been looking at buying a new one for about a year and really got serious when i saw a couple of Anvil BTS trucks located at a dealer a few hours away , one had the MFT and the other did not. Well about a week before i was at Home Depot with my wife loading up some material and i mentioned to her " damn that MFT would sure be nice " :) well about a week later i decided to go look at the 2 trucks that were still showing available , when i got to the dealer , i located both of them , the salesman said that one of them had been sold yesterday to someone in Hawaii :D , he then took me to the other one and it was the one with the MFT , inside i was thinking YES !!!!!!! i was so glad that it was still available.
Like others have said , i myself like the seam as it makes it look different AND noticeable i even put the black door liner on it so that it is even more noticeable AND protected :ROFLMAO:and no i will never get another truck without one , to me it is that great of a feature (y)
good luck with whatever you decide to do

This is the existing design that I am referring to, I saw it in the “what did you do to your Ram today thread”.

Now you guys have convinced me that I should probably show off this off center OCD inducing seam!
