Recently had the dealer install an OEM brake controller in my 2022 1500 Limited. Zero software settings option in either uconnect or dash. They claimed to put the sales code on the truck. Any idea what gives? Any way to fix it or just give them a call back?

Look in your settings tab on your radio. There should be a settings tab and there will be a listing for the trailer brake there. There will also be a selection on the center of your dashboard using your left-hand buttons using the 4-way selector. Also, try squeezing the brake slide it should bring up the brake setting as you squeeze the slide.

have the dealer show you how they updated the uconnect system

Thanks for the input. None of that is there. Clear they didn't program it correctly it seems.

you can PM me your vin and I can see if they added the build/sales code. You would still need to go there to get is updated, you paid for it.

I checked the VIN on the mopar site and it shows the trailer brake controller as dealer installed. It just doesn't show up in the uconnect software. Do they have to update the uconnect system even after the sales code was installed?

They need to update the vehicle, they may have missed that step. Hopefully the dealer is near by.

Sounds possible. Not too far from me thankfully. Mild annoyance but hopefully it's fixed without further issue. Thanks for your help.

I had the trailer controller added at the dealership where I bought my 2021 used. I brought the truck back to MD from NJ where I purchased it. Hooked up my trailer and nothing showed up and the electric brakes did not work. I could not find any where in the menus showing the trailer controller. 2.5 hour back to the dealer and they redid the install. It now shows up in the menus that I have the controller installed and it works the trailer brakes.

Sucks, but something was wrong with the initial install.
