My truck just turned past 2 years old and guess what? Yup, battery gone. Best part is, I called roadside assistance and got an incompetent flat bed driver that was gonna boast my etourqe until I stopped him asking if he’s ever boasted one, he said no. So he winched my truck onto his flat deck crooked and dented my tailgate. What a POS. Photos were taken after I freaked out and he reversed the winch so my tailgate wasn’t against his emergency lights. I was going to get arrested if it wasn’t for a friend calming me down 🤬🤬 do not use roadside assistance in Ontario that uses this company.

Soooooo FN pissed from a simple dead battery to a cluster fu€k of a situation. Not a scratch or even car wash swirls on the body because I hand wash the truck, and this idiot started my new year.

That sucks man. Just for future reference, there would have been no issue for him to start your truck from a jump start. Did it twice on my 2020 eTorque. And jumped other vehicles too.

Thing is, the hood in the open position prevents engine start up, safety feature. So I wasn’t gonna start explaining that in a language I couldn’t speak.

Is that a thing in Canada? You can start the truck with the hood open in the USA no problem.

Must be 🙄let’s remember it was built in Michigan for Canada. There’s a button/switch that is activated when the hood is raised and it protrudes upwards just left of the hood latch. Can’t take a picture of it because I don’t have my truck right now. 🤬

Anytime I try to start my truck with the hood open on a good day, it won’t. It’s a safety feature incase your friend happens to be laying underneath your truck with his hand around the crankshaft pulley and you happen to start it, when all he said was.. just farted. I can see the need for a safety feature for sure.
