Hey guys, looking for some input. I had a simple task of installing a dash camera and ended up looking for supply voltage behind the rear view mirror. while the truck was in Run (not running) i had unplugged the DASM module. After a short mount of time the AEB light came up as well as the Service Trailer Brake warning. Figuring this would go away on its own i plugged everything back in and let the truck sit overnight. Next day, even after driving around the warning lights are still present after startup. I unplugged the connector and tested for ground, ignition voltage and bus voltages. everything seems to be good up to the plug.

with Alpha i get code U121a from the instrument panel module and from the ABS i get code U1216. Cannot clear them with Alpha. If this is something that does go away on its own very well but it seems like its stuck on.

It should go away on its on. You might need to unhook the battery for a little bit. But then, you will need to wait awhile for everything to come back. It can take a really long time.

Just a follow up on my OP. The issue didn't go away on its own and figured it had to be something I did. So i took apart the Delphi connector on a suspicion that even though i could test for correct voltages and GND at the end of the plug and visually the pins appear fine, I thought to myself, "Self, what if there was a poor connection in one of the pins once plugged in?".

Sure enough, I must have deformed a spring blade inside the pins with the pin probe i tested for voltage with. With the pins removed from the plug i pushed the ends of the blade back down so it would make better contact with the pins of the DASM. Plugged it back in and no issues.

Will adjust my voltage hunting techniques going forward lol. Thanks for listening.

You may be lucky. it specifically tells me, in the instructions for my dash cam, do it with ignition off, do not turn on.
