Driving on the interstate this morning running about 70 and the dash went crazy. Everything started flashing and bells going off. The truck ran fine until I slowed down in the slow lane. Wipers started going, no tach speedo nothing on the dash read except the all warning lights still going off. Got off on my exit slowed down to make a turn no power steering and could not go over 25 mph. Stopped turned the truck off, restarted and everything fine. Got about a mile and everything start going off agai, but this time The dash had No CanBus. Got home and the the shift knob would not work and the truck would not turn off. I keep pushing the on/off and it finely turned off. Put an code reader on to clear code and had 43 DTC! Cleared all the codes started the truck and all the lights started and bells light started going off again. Any suggestion an what to start checking? 2023 1500 DT 5.7 10700 miles.

I would first load test the battery. If that checks out I'd probably look for signs of water getting into the cab either under the dash or the cab wall behind the rear seat.

I did check behind the rear seat and no signs of water or moisture. I have the battery disconnected at the moment to see if that helps. If I will get the battery load tested.

Yup. I would be like a fly on stink checking the back for water intrusion/damage to the RF hub.
edit: you already did that.

There was a thread about something going on with the CAN bus connectors under the dash. Tried search, got no hits...

Update: I got a call from the dealer stating the problem was caused by the EPS "Electric Power Steering Rack". Said that it has a short and that Ram is aware of the problem and it will be covered by warranty. Bad news no racks are available with no ETA on when they will be.

Ya know that stuff is gonna break and while it’s never convenient when it happens, it just really sucks that the parts to replace/repair are “no eta-back order”
MGU, steering rack, ABS modules, the list seems to keep growing. I hope Tim K can get this parts thing corrected so we can expect a reasonable time for repair/replacement. OP sorry your truck is giving you issues. Good Luck
