Sorry if this has been asked before. I searched but came up empty. Is there any setting in JScan to when you turn your headlights completely off the dim the dash lights. Mine go to full illumination and won’t dim. Thanks

dash light brightness should be adjusted through the interior lighting dimmer knob next to your headlight switch

I didn't realize this until recently, especially when I'm running wipers in the daytime and it causes the gauges and screen to dim and I can't see anything.

What's cool about that switch is it does not force the interior dome light to turn on when you lock it to full, so if you forget to switch it back to normal it won't leave your interior lights on by accident.

i dont know what your spec is, but mine dims and go full bright independently from head lights.
for example:
day time out, wiper running - headlights on, dash at full brightness (before it clicks to lock at the top)
day time out, wiper not running - headlights off, dash at full brightness (before it clicks to lock at the top)
dusk or dawn, no wiper - headlights on, dash at full brightness until it gets dark enough, then dashboard and interior lights drop down to night time brightness.
night time - headlights on, dash at full NIGHT TIME brightness before it clicks to lock at the top

clicking to lock at the top leaves it full day time brightness at all times.

mine has a sensor in the middle of the dashboard to control when to engage day time dashboard illumination brightness and when to switch over to dimmed night time brightness. mine's a level 2 with Rebel 12 package, so that may be the difference compared to some less optioned trucks?

Mine is a Level 2 with the 8.4" screen. Maybe slightly different programming for a 2019 vs 2022?

For me, I think my truck acts the same as yours except for the first one. Which is day time out, wiper running - headlights on, dash lights automatically go to low level. I have to click on lock to the top to get it back to full bright when in daytime and wipers on.

All your other scenarios look to be the same.

could be. it's been a while since I took the truck out when it's raining out (last week when it rained I took the M car... because sliding is fun LOL)
i'll do that this week when it rains again and see what happens. i could be wrong.

I remember a few of us complaining about that issue in a earlier thread, having everything dim in bright light because the wipers were on. Lol, none of us at the time thought about full lock on the dimmer, I think too many of us are used to other vehicles where locking that dimmer to full causes the dome/interior lights to come on.

confirmed when headlights on and wiper on, dash is left at full daytime brightness (aka, unchanged wehn wiper off and headlights off)
also my interior light switch is on the top by the map lights, not controlled by the dial that controls the brightness of dash lights.
