CV Axle movement\noise

Hi Guys, I believe I just stumbled into this same issue. I hear the noise in the passenger front when slowing to a stop around 10mph. Also hear a noise when turning left going downhill & can feel it in the steering wheel. The shop who usually does my work says it's beyond their scope of abilities & recommended I take it to a dealer. They're suggesting I consider just replacing the entire front differential. Obviously don't want to go that route so taking to another shop to get their opinion. Will keep you all posted. My truck is a 2019 with 83k miles.

Some good(?) news, took my truck to the mechanic who drove it and couldn't hear any issues when he took it for a drive. The noise I heard has also seemingly stopped. I do occasionally still notice some grinding when I make a downhill left turn. Recommendation was to do nothing and if the noise returned and got worse to then look into a solution. He spoke very highly of Ram and said very rarely does he see these trucks with front end issues. Not discounting the issues others in this thread have had, but if I do have an issue, it's in the early stages and not warranting maintenance (yet).

I brought my 2020 Bighorn with 45K miles to the dealership for an oil change, and their 35 point inspection found that my front axles had play exactly like your videos. They replaced both front CV-axles and the differential. I'm lucky and have a great dealership here in Massachusetts and they reached out to FCA under the "Goodwill" program. FCA covered 80% of the repair!!! I will add that I don't have any major modifications on my truck.
I was surprised of the finding because I didn't have any issues or sounds. I don't use 4WD a lot but have a habit of switching/cycling through 2WD, 4WD and 4WD Auto at least once a month to keep everything moving and make sure it all works. They said it was nothing that I did but said that the crappy New England road potholes beat the crap out of suspensions and drive trains. I didn't know this was a common issue with RAM. Is it?
