My right cushion-body-hold-down bolt has snapped and I am waiting on the replacement. It wont be in for a week. Is it safe to drive my Ram 1500 without one or will cause damage? We went to all the local hardware and auto-parts store, and no one carried the bolt for the 5th gen, so I had to order the part online MOPAR #6511825AA. I live off the grid but have to commute to work and don't want to deal with having to fix the cushion housing or other parts if I can. Thanks in advance

You may want to base your decision on what caused the bolt to break. You want to be sure you don't have a serious underlying problem that caused the bolt to break. Without knowing more information, it would be hard to say if it is safe to drive. For instance, which bolt on the right side broke. There are several cushion mounts on each side. What is the condition of the other bolts on all sides? Are they tight, are they rusted, etc. What will happen to the cushion parts of the broken bolt if you drive your vehicle, will they remain in place, will they jar loose, etc? What are the road conditions like that you have to traverse? What is your driving style? Just a lot of information if you want someone's advice, I would suspect. Best of luck with it, though, sorry it happened to you.
