Hello All:
Have had an issue that has been seldom, but on a recent trip happened multiple times so I figured it was time to as if this is happening to anyone else.
2020 Rebel 3.0 Ecodiesel. Basically stock with a PedalCommander and Leveling Kit. Just standard cruise control (not adaptive)
What I'm getting is an occasional failure to maintain the set cruise control speed. This only seems to be occurring in 8th gear.
Our speed limits are 70-80mph, usually around 3,000-7,000 feet in elevation. There doesn't seem to be a specific set speed (happened with the cruise set at 65, 80, and 83). Not towing or have anything heavy in the vehicle. Temps have been in the high 20s to high 30s.
As we go up a decent incline, 95% of the time the truck will maintain exactly the speed. 4% of the time it will drop down 6-8 mph, but usually not more than that. It will not downshift or appear to do anything to maintain speed.
1% of the time it will completely fail to do anything to maintain speed. I was curious to see what would happen, and at about 12-15mph under the set cruise control speed it just gave up and turned the cruise control off.
In all of these scenarios if I bump the fuel to maintain speed it will downshift and find the right speed again. But it does take manual input from me.
Thoughts? Anyone else having similar issues with their cruise?
