Connected phone question

When I get an incoming call on my connected phone, I dont hear any ring sound through the sound system. Should I? Is there a setting for this?

Mine rings when under CarPlay connection but not Bluetooth which is MOST of the time.

Realized today that it is tied to the phone setting. I had it on vibrate only and there was no ring sound through the car sounds system. When I turned on my phone ringtone I heard it through the speakers.
