Chrome wheel chipping

Hi,

Does anyone had the problem with chrome wheel chipping off? Any idea how to fix it? I noticed on the rear wheel a small piece is chipped and worried it may start peeling more eventually. Pls suggest ideas. Thanks.

I believe they're just covers you can replace.

I'm pretty sure that's a plastic chrome clad skin glued to a steel rim. The dealer, and many other sources, will tell you the only solution is to replace the wheel. However, there are aftermarket companies that sell replacement skins and some videos on YouTube that show how to remove them.
