Anyone seen an issue like this before? I was cleaning my truck Sunday after a weekend trip of lots of highway driving and noticed this. It looks like a stone hit but it's very weird the way the chrome bubbles up. Does it seem like its abnormal? The picture may make it tough to get the perspective but it's actually a bubble.

If it's bubbled up, then the 'chrome' hasn't properly adhered.... I'd point it out to the dealer for a replacement.

Thanks. I agree. I get if a stone hit it and it left an indentation but this is too weird.

Plastic with a "chrome" coating. Not real chrome which is bonded to metal, but a simulated coating that depends on adhesion to stick to a surface. If there is contamination this will occur. Unfortunately not unusual with plastic coatings, should be warranty replacement. Not repairable.

Thanks for the info and cover offer guys! I'll see what the dealer says.
