Check engine light appeared on me yesterday while driving and since then the only thing I have noticed that is different is it shuts off after I do the automatic start.. and i have a half tank so it's not doing it cause of low fuel. Would anything with the automatic start? Close the check engine light to come on

When any trouble lights are on, the remote start is disabled.
The light is not because of the shut down,
the shut down is because of the light.
The light could be from any number of things,
Get a code reader, or alfa obd, or tazer.
Read the code and google it.
