Just curious if this has happened to anyone else. The check engine light came on, I took it to the dealer and they said it's the EGR cooler and I would probably replace it. I have 90,000km on the truck. They cleared the code but said it will probably come back on. It did about 300km later, while I was on a road trip. I assume it's the same code, but after driving another 400km, I filled up the tank and the light went off. If there's a problem with the EGR cooler would the light go off again?
It also seems a little strange to me that the first time the light came on was right after I filled the tank and this time it turned off right after I filled the tank. But I can't see filling the tank having anything to do with the EGR cooler.
