Ok, I’ve read a few related items to CarPlay maps. My CarPlay worked great for 2 months. I spent 3 days in SanLuis Obispo (SLO), CA. Headed north for home, I stopped for gas 2 hrs North and upon restarting, the map displayed my location in the hills of SLO. I also noted the compass stopped for 2 hrs and is 50% accurate right now. I live 4 hrs north of SLO.
Tried the usual - reset phone (hard, soft), changed cables and ports, tried 2 other iPhones, took to dealer who reset DCS, checked all app functions, used three map apps, deleted and re-added Uconnect on phones. Maps work fine on all iPhones till connected to CarPlay, then it drags phone location to SLO (with CarPlay). Truck’s CarPlay worked 1 time after dealer reset then went back to SLO. I deleted all references to SLO including weather app. Map worked 1x then next time, back to SLO. The software is up to date on phones, CarPlay and Uconnect.
Worked fine till I stopped for gas. I don’t know what changed.
