Hey everyone, first time posting on the forms.

I've been experiencing a weird intermittent issue with my remote start.
Specifically the EVO-ONE by FORTIN.

I bought this truck a year ago and since day one I've had issues.
This issue im experncing is that when i have remote started the truck, I perform the takeover as outlined in the EVO-ONE manual (doors closed, push start button, takeover complete)
most of the time it fails and shuts the truck off.
Once in a while it'll work but usually only after a few days of not using the remote start.

I've gone over the installation of it and it was done correctly, however I do not have the hardware to check the programming.

I am assuming maybe something else besides the aftermarket remote starter
as i have a OBD2 code stored in the BCM

U1433
Implausible Ignition Switch Status Message Received,
signal stuck high.

Now from what I've read, this code should mean I'm dead in the water (no crank, no start) but yet I have almost no issues starting it.

If anyone else has experienced this, what was your solution?

Thank you for your time and help.

Sounds like you'd be better off having the aftermarket system removed and just buy a new fob and enable the factory remote start. You don't mention what model year you have.
