It shouldn't make any difference. When you go WOT (wide open throttle), the transmission will already shift for max performance, keeping revs as high as possible. TH is useful when you want upshifts to happen in higher RPMs, but WOT will give you the highest revs possible regardless of TH.
TH will affect how you downshift as you stop though, giving you more braking power. I don't know if there are other changes to the transmission shifting with TH, such as increasing oil pressure for a faster/snappier shift. TH is not the same thing as a true sport mode in other trucks/cars.
Don't see why not, as mentioned it holds the gear a little longer, but your foot on the floor it won't make any difference, it will still shift just before redline.
The big thing about the tow/haul mode is downshifting while braking. It is designed to shift lower & sooner while braking, and keeping at that lower gear even while coasting off-throttle, only shifting up if you apply throttle.
In terms of a drag race, not likely to make any difference for you.
