after reading about alfaobd and everything you need i am confused. Do you need the bypass cable for all trucks or just diesel truck? I have the ram 1500 limited with the e-torque engine. I am assuming i need the bypass cable.

You need a bypass cable for all trucks.

It doesn't necessarily need to be a cable, but you do need an SGW bypass for all trucks. I bought this one a few weeks ago from amazon and it works perfectly.
